HOW TO PLAY

How to play Island Builder

Island Builder is a calm creative sandbox with no timer or resource grind. Choose an asset and tap a grid cell to place it; brush across cells, touch and hold to erase, then pinch or pan to view your island. Progress stays in this browser only.

Controls

  • Touch: tap to place; touch and hold for about 0.4 seconds to erase; drag to brush
  • Touch: pinch or use two fingers to pan; use the toolbar and palette to change tools and categories
  • Desktop: click to place; right click to erase; scroll to zoom; Shift + drag to pan
  • S: save; R: reset; F: toggle the game area fullscreen

Tips

  1. Lay out the grass, sand, and water silhouette first, then add buildings and details.
  2. A long press only removes the item under your finger; pinch in before editing a crowded area.
