How to play 2048

2048 is a number-combining puzzle. Slide all tiles together, merge equal values, and keep enough open space to continue building your largest tile.

Controls

  • Arrow keys or swipe: slide the board
  • R: start a new board
  • F: toggle the game area fullscreen
  • Keep moving until no legal move remains

Tips

  1. Keep your highest tile in one corner and avoid moving it away.
  2. Build a stable order along one edge before chasing the next merge.
