How to play The Evolution of Trust
Play eight simultaneous rounds against one of four disclosed strategies: always cooperate, always betray, mirror your previous move, or cooperate until the first betrayal. Review both scores, each opponent move, and the final strategy analysis. This illustrates the repeated prisoner’s dilemma; it is not a population simulation.
Controls
- Choose Cooperate or Betray each round
- Select an opponent strategy to compare outcomes
- Restart begins a new eight-round game

- The payoff depends on both choices, so consider what your opponent tends to do.
- Review the round history to see how earlier moves affect a mirror strategy.
